This quote by Abraham Lincoln, says it all about our Foundation Course, Praarambh, which is all curated for preparing from roots to pinnacle. Just as respected Mr. Lincoln, we too believe in leaving no stone unturned when it comes to a comprehensive approach of preparation to find your name in the so-called ‘Sacred UPSC Pdf’.

 

About the Course

We, in this course, follow an evolutionary approach from basics of NCERTs to making you ready for The Dholpur House. Before breaking it down into well-thought and planned steps of this programme, we would like our students to know that at ONLY IAS, every person involved, pledges to make sure that we deliver what we promise.

• 9 Month UPSC Micro Listed Syllabus

• Transparency in bureaucracy begins from preparation.

Hence, we micro-list the topics of our syllabus, so that our students can exactly know what part of the syllabus is covered and what’s still left, with an added benefit that they can also keep a track on their revision with the help of this micro-listed syllabus by ensuring that they do not miss even the smallest part of the syllabus of any subject.

 

• 700+ Hours of Offline Classes

• Monday to Saturday classes to help maintain discipline and consistency which is an integral part of this preparation or rather, major principles that help a sincere aspirant cover his/her journey.

 

 

• Daily Class Handouts

• In usual coaching culture, everyday classes, which are about 2.5-3 hours, takes about half of the total hours in dictating lectures and the left-over time in explanation, but we at OnlyIAS have daily class lectures prepared by our faculty (handwritten notes), to be distributed as daily handouts and this way only 10-15% of the material is left to be dictated.

 

• The reason behind this step is for efficient time management of the hours in hand so that the hours spent in dictating could be utilized instead in clearing concepts and answer-writing practice.

 

• Daily Doubt Session

• No communication is complete without any feedback. Similarly, a class is not over until our students have not interacted with their teachers. So, 15-20 minutes after every class are reserved for this purpose.

 

• Complete PYQs Discussion

• Previous Year Questions are said to be ‘The Bible’ of this preparation which means we cannot proceed in the right direction without it.

 

• This is the reason why it is the responsibility of every subject faculty to include previous year questions of prelims as well as mains pattern of more than 5 years, alongside the concept explanation so that our students could understand the demand of this examination.

 

• Essay and Answer Writing Classes

• Have you heard toppers talking about writing practice? Do you know the reason behind?

 

• Let us explain the significance of this exercise. Answer writing, more than a demand, is a skill which gets developed only with practice and experience. It is not some MCQ or formula that you can practice and instantly follow.

 

• This is the reason why we have separate essay and answer writing classes. The second stage of the examination i.e., mains is totally about this and scoring well in these gets you automatically placed above your competitors in the final list.

 

• Peer Learning Discussion

• The final stage of this examination is Personality Test because bureaucracy is a field which demands an individual to be more open towards discussion in order to find out the best way to implement policies on field, for the contribution towards betterment of society.

 

• Even though you may not know everything about any certain topic, being open about one’s own views and to learn about different perceptions of others is something that drives a bureaucrat in his/her initiatives.

Note: All these tests will be properly evaluated by the faculty and students can interact individually with the teachers to know about the things they can improve further and exactly in what manner because then will the utility of this facility, could be proved of its worth.

The syllabus of this exam is so vast that collecting relevant information from multiple sources, according to the syllabus, is in itself an exhaustive and time-taking task. We, at ONLY IAS, in our foundation batch have, thus decided to share this burden of our students so that they could focus more on building concepts, memorizing them and improving their exam-related performance.

• Describing them as some of the online perks for students, we have NCERT Video Lectures and NCERT Test available on our App & Website both for the convenience of our students, as per their need and time availability.

 

• Class Recordings Availability

• The offline classes conducted would be recorded and uploaded, to be available within 24-48 hours.

 

• CSAT Integration

• The next feature is something, which has gained prominence in last 2 years i.e., CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test), which is supposed to be a qualifying paper but some recent struggling results about some IIT or IIM students or to be particular, people having an experience in these aptitudes, gives us the conclusion that UPSC is on its way of evolving this paper too, in a way to make clearing the first stage of this examination, a daunting task in itself.

 

• This is not to demean any student on their negative results in CSAT when they are scoring way ahead in GS-I, but this is to redefine our preparation of CSAT on the lines of the demands set up by UPSC.
• And this is why we have planned Weekly CSAT Class (Sundays) only in online mode on our App & Website because we know it would be hectic for our students to attend offline classes throughout the week.

 

• We will also be conducting proper Monthly CSAT Live Doubt Class as we know that Doubt Resolution is an aspect which cannot and should not be missed.
